Experience the uproarious return of the beloved hot-headed hotelier in "Fawlty Towers – The Play," featuring iconic scenes from the sitcom's unforgettable twelve episodes. After almost five decades since the comedy classic graced our TV screens, this new stage show is set to storm into the West End this Spring, with the first check-in available on May 4, 2024.
What is "Fawlty Towers" about?
Follow the hilarious misadventures of Basil Fawlty, a grumpy hotelier whose increasingly absurd attempts to "elevate the tone" of his run-down seaside hotel result in complaints, complications, and sheer chaos. Striving to cater to the guests he believes he deserves, Basil routinely scolds those actually staying in his establishment. Engaging in furious tirades with guests, staff, and his wife Sybil, Basil is far from the gracious host.
This classic sitcom has garnered a global fanbase and turned Torquay into the 70s' number one holiday destination. The witty, sarcastic, and delightfully silly characters from the show, including the put-upon Spanish waiter Manuel, the good-natured general assistant Polly, and, of course, Basil, will be causing mayhem in the capital this Spring. Join them for an evening of joy and tears of laughter as they bring this timeless classic to a whole new audience. Don't miss your chance to witness the live performance of this iconic show!
