The display will commence at 8:15pm and will last for approximately 3 minutes.
I don't know why there's a fireworks display - usually, a private event taking place, but as fireworks are conspicuously public by nature, anyone in the area can watch them if they know they are happening.
And now you do.
The best place to watch will likely be Island Gardens on the north side of the Thames as the Old Royal Naval College will probably be closed for whatever event is taking place to merit a fireworks display.
