London Docklands Late

The Museum of London Docklands opens late for an after-hours event, celebrating the final week of the exhibition London: Port City.

Take a curator-led tour of the exhibition, find a seat in our screening room or immerse yourself in Victorian Sailortown where musicians will bring you sea shanties and ditties - and so much more!
Programme

Music

Music for the evening will be brought to you by Working River: songs and music of the River Thames - a medley of artists with tunes and tales about mudlarkers, smugglers, mutinies and strikes. Look out for the Sea Shanty Crews who will serenade you as you walk through the Museum and live acoustic sets in the Three Mariners pub in our immersive recreation of the Victorian Docks, Sailortown.

Activities

Step into the Rum Store room and take part in reimagining the landscape of Docklands. Get creative and use the materials provided to add your vision.

Screenings

Find a seat in our screening room in Quayside, on the 3rd floor where you will learn about the characters and lives of real Islanders, dock workers and their families, brought to you by Thames Festival.
