Join architectural writer and historian Chris Rogers to discuss how the capital’s built landscape has evolved from the Great Fire to the 2012 Olympics, as reflected in his new book How to Read London – A Crash Course in London Architecture.
Explore key buildings and moments that shaped today's city, including its innovative public and private housing, great tradition of civic works and the odd quirky surprise.
Chris is an architectural writer and historian who also leads architectural tours and gives talks, including for this summer’s London Festival of Architecture. He is the author of How to Read Paris (2016) and The Power of Process: The Architecture of Michael Pearson (2010). He has spent 30 years experiencing and researching London’s buildings and the context in which they were made, often with architects and other practitioners.
