This event has finished Took place on: Sunday, 30th Oct 2022

 Free

The British Jewry Book of Honour, published in 1922, lists approximately 50,000 servicemen and women of whom over 2,000 died in World War One. The book was compiled from names given to Jewish Chaplains, the most senior being Rev Michael Adler, and sent to be published weekly in The Jewish Chronicle during the war.

Researcher for the website British Jews in the First World War will be speaking about how the book came into being and then focus on some of those people mentioned in it who are commemorated in Willesden Cemetery.

This will be followed by a guided walk led by Corinne Van Colle, Liaison Administrator, at the House of Life at Willesden Jewish Cemetery. She will be stopping along the way to tell the story of a few of the servicemen remembered there.
Parking is available on site.
Wheelchairs can be provided upon request.
No dogs (with the exception of assistance dogs), cycling or eating permitted.
