Walk inside an art clad hot air balloon

There will be a chance to walk inside a hot air balloon as it lays flat on the ground.

Designed by artists musson+retallick – winners of the Thamesmead Open, an international art competition organised by Peabody – the 25 metre high hot air balloon Fields of EveryWhen features 200 artworks celebrating the people and places of Thamesmead, South East London.

The spectacular floating gallery rises 20 metres above the ground. As well as floating overhead, the balloon will be inflated lying sideways on the ground, creating an immersive installation visitors can walk around and view the artworks up close.

Flights take place in the early evening from approximately 5:30pm. Side inflations take place from approximately 2pm - 4pm on the afternoon of the flight.

All balloon flights and inflations are weather-dependent and subject to change as the inflation of the balloon depends on suitable weather conditions.
