This month the Science Museum is looking to the stars for a very special space-themed Lates in partnership with BBC Tomorrow’s World.
Probe the latest in UK space research with the Royal Society and Wellcome, who will take you to a galaxy not very far away to answer your questions on matters such as gravitational waves, cosmic neutrinos and sleeping in space. We’ll also be holding a live webcast from the museum for the first episode of the new interactive BBC show: Tomorrow’s World Live.
Visitors will also be able to hear from the experts who are exploring our oceans to better equip humankind for space travel and those who are examining meteorites to find out more about Mars and the Moon. Plus, find out how galaxies are being built using supercomputers and how ESA hopes to protect astronauts from microgravity whilst on mission.
This year’s biggest space blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be screened for free in the IMAX theatre, and visitors will also get the chance to try the Science Museum’s award-nominated out-of-this-world experience Space Descent VR with Tim Peake.
Plus all the regular highlights, including our intergalactic silent disco and the comedy show with a difference, Large Stand-Up Collider, hosted by Famelab 2017 winner Alex Lathbridge.
Over 18s only
Admission free although some events may require a ticket
