Free FreeOn 5th March 1936 at 4.30pm the Spitfire took its first flight. Now, 80 years on, we will be celebrating the Spitfire on quite a momentous birthday.
Join us on Saturday 5th March in our Bomber Hall as we open the Spitfire 5B and Spitfire MK16 for cockpit viewing. Meet our volunteers and staff who will be on hand to talk you through the cockpit, fuselage and each aircraft in general.
At 4.30pm we will be cutting a Spitfire cake and the best part is that you get to have some! Cake will be served on a first come first serve basis and is free of charge.
Cost
This event is free to attend however we do ask for a cash donation of £5, we will have donation boxes available next to each Spitfire.
There is no need to book in advance, just come along and get involved!
Times and Location
Each Spit will be open from 11.30am to 1.30pm and 2.30pm to 4.30pm
We will cut the cake at 4.30pm sharp next to the Spitfires in the Bomber Hall
