Why not come along on this FootprintsofLondon.com tour and hear how transport made London go BOOM!

It is without a doubt that the transport network in London is the beating heart of London, keeping the City moving 24/7.

In this walk we chart the birth of public transport, from what was available before, the reasons for it's establishment and the consequences of its arrival and what it means for London of the future.

On the walk we will be visiting many sites related to transport in London, we will cover the early horse buses, the rise and fall of the humble waterman, the birth by fire of the Underground as it exploded through London and the key characters and organisations involved in the development of public transport in London.

Other highlights include:
Disused and proposed Underground stations
Look down a Crossrail borehole
Disasters, crypts, lakes, meat and execution
Learn more about the history of our great city
Socialise and meet new friends
Relax after the tour in a historic establishment where we can eat and drink

This walk does not include any internal visits to any Underground station, tunnel or other TfL (Transport for London) related establishment, we keep our feet firmly above ground during this walk.

This walk is suitable for children, however does include disturbing facts about unfortunate events and deaths related to public transport, user discretion is advised.

The walk finishes close to Moorgate Underground station.

This tour also repeats at 17:30 on the same day.
