Strawberry Hill
Description
A Gothic Revival villa that was built by Horace Walpole from 1749.
It is the type example of the “Strawberry Hill Gothic” style of architecture, and it prefigured the nineteenth-century Gothic revival.
Walpole’s eccentric and unique style on the inside rooms of Strawberry Hill complemented the Gothic exterior.
