Station History
| 13th Dec 1983 | The rebuilt ticket hall was opened by the Chairman of the GLC's Transport Committee, Dave Wetael on Monday 13 December 1983. The new decorative panels on the platforms were also unveiled. |

| 17th Jun 1973 | The northern line section of the station (at the time called Strand), closed on this day to be rebuilt as a combined Northern and Jubilee line station. It was expected to be closed for two years. |
