History of Clapham High Street Rail Station

Circa Jan 1944The station building was destroyed by a bomb in 1944
Circa Apr 1916The 1867 LCDR platforms on the north side of the station were closed on 3 April 1916 and subsequently demolished.
Circa May 1863The station was renamed Clapham & North Stockwell in May 1863.
25th Aug 1862The station was opened on 25 August 1862 by the London, Chatham and Dover Railway (LCDR), initially called Clapham Station
Circa The station was renamed to Clapham High Street in 1989.
