About the Wandle Industrial Museum
In the museum you will find displays showing the history of the River Wandle and the industries that used the river's power. From the early mills that were flour mills to mills still working in the 20th century.There are displays about the more famous names associated with the Wandle. There is opportunity to 'take snuff' and trace the course of the River Wandle discovering the location of the mills along it.
Among the permanent displays is a large scale model of the William Morris Works and smaller models of Merton Priory and the Liberty Print Works.
