The Conversation: Roman Krznaric

Description

The Conversation is a series of weekly events talking about conflict and empathy, inequality and power, climate crisis and wonder through storytelling and action. The first half of the evening is an interview, which is followed by the host and guest joining the audience around tables to take the conversation further. Everyone is welcome.

What can humankind’s rich history of radical revolts teach us about the power of disobedience to tackle the climate crisis? How might understanding the origins of capitalism spark ideas for bringing AI under control? The leading social philosopher Roman Krznaric unearths insights and inspiration from the last 1000 years of world history that could help us confront the most urgent challenges facing humanity in the twenty-first century.

Roman Krznaric’s books include Empathy: A Handbook or Revolution, Carpe Diem: Seizing the Day in a Distracted World, and The Good Ancestor: How to Think Long Term in a Short-Term World.
