Skills Late: Talent Transported

Description

Annual Skills Late event brings together leading employers in London with young people at the start of their careers.

Join them at the Museum in Covent Garden for an opportunity to meet leading businesses in the sector, hear about their upcoming apprenticeships and training opportunities and become part of the next generation of transport and infrastructure talent.

We welcome young people and their friends, family, parents and guardians. You are also welcome to attend if you work with young people and are interested in early career opportunities for them.

The event is free to attend, but advanced booking is essential.

London Transport Museum Information Desks

Find out more about Route into Work and Volunteering at their two London Transport Museum information desks.

Route into Work is a course designed by London Transport Museum to support young Londoners into careers into engineering or the transport industry. This year, Route into Work will run in April 2025 to support upcoming job vacancies including Level 2 and 3 apprenticeships with Transport for London. Visit the Information Desk to register your interest and learn more.

Develop your skills and gain work experience with their growing volunteer programme! Come speak to current volunteers about the impact the volunteering programme at London Transport Museum has had on their careers.

Networking Skills Sessions

Networking can be intimidating. Brush up on your skills in one of these short, 20-minute-long sessions at the start of the evening to prepare, practice, and hear top tips to make the most out of the evening. The sessions are in the Cubic Foyer, found downstairs next to the Museum’s main entrance. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Q&A Panels

19:15 – 19:45 | Accessible Pathways into the Transport Sector
20:15 – 20:45 | Day in the Life of an Apprentice

Attend short Q&A sessions in the Cubic Theatre to hear more about accessible recruitment pathways and the apprentice journey. The panel will largely be audience-led, so come with your questions ready.
