Explore the orchid festival after dark in these evening events taking you into the world of Kew and Indonesia.Enjoy entertainment with lively gamelan music and traditional dancers.
Kew scientists and experts will give talks on the building of the orchid festival, and an interactive look at how they are fighting the extinction crisis.
Renowned author and chef Petty Elliott will introduce you to the food and culture from her Indonesian heritage with a cooking demonstration and Wedang uwuh (Indonesia tea).
Food and drink will be available throughout.
Over 5,000 species of orchids can be found in Indonesia, alongside the staggering wildlife found nowhere else on earth.
This year's festival is a celebration of the cultural and natural diversity that is scattered across the country's archipelago of 17,504 islands, and the scientific discovery being made by Kew's intrepid scientists.
