Modernist Book Fair

Description

Explore the work of independent publishers who are passionate about modernist architecture and design. Whether you're a fan of Bauhaus, brutalism, or anything in between, you'll discover something to inspire and delight you.

The fair celebrates the legacy and diversity of modernism, inviting visitors to delve into the post-war period of re-imagining in Britain. During this time, a new future was envisioned for all, despite the challenges. Independent publishers come together to celebrate, investigate, and question the architecture and urban planning of the mid to late 20th century, an era, marked by both problems and hope.

Participants include the modernist magazine, as well as other notable publishers:
Blue Crow Maps: Known for their architectural maps, including those of London Underground Architecture.
Stefi Orazi: Author of Modernist Estates and the Perambulations series.
UHM Zines: Focusing on Brutalist architecture, including landmarks like the South Bank Centre and South Norwood Library.
