George Seferis: The Man, the Poet, the Diplomat

The preserved room (c) ianVisits

Description

Inside the Greek Ambassador's official London residence is a room preserved for nearly 60 years in memory of the man who once worked there and is now open to the public.

As it's housed in the Hellenic Residence, home of the Greek Ambassador, visits are limited to roughly a couple of days a month.

There's no set time to arrive; you can turn up anytime when it's open. You can wander around alone, or, more usefully, one of the diplomatic staff will give you a small exhibition tour.

Visits are free of charge, but they must be booked in advance, and you must bring ID with you on the day.
