Description

This project celebrates the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri.

An art exhibition at the Crypt gallery in Euston that reflects on Dante for his visual creativity and commemorates him as an inspiration. A group of selected artists will create and exhibit new works made specifically for this project. In doing so, they will also support the next generation of creatives by raising money for a charity that works to give opportunities to young people to engage with art and learn crucial artistic skills. A book will also be published to celebrate writing that engages with Dante today and all the art works made for the exhibition.

The artists selected are a combination of well established and up-and-coming artists. They have all been specifically chosen to give a fresh and different perspective on Dante.
