In 2018 the History of Parliament Trust was awarded funding by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to commemorate the life and career of its founder and former MP for Newcastle-under-Lyme, Colonel Josiah C. Wedgwood.

As part of their activities, which were largely based in Wedgwood’s native Staffordshire, the History produced an exhibition with the assistance of the UK Parliament Curator’s Office that explores his varied political campaigns and achievements.

It has been touring in and around his former constituency since September 2018, but from 22-25 October 2019 the exhibition, which features Wedgwood’s assistance of Jews in Nazi-controlled Europe in the 1930s and early 1940s, will be shown at The Wiener Library.
