Description

The museum's "Rooms Through Time" will be dressed to show how people have celebrated Christmas and other Winter events in their home over the past 400 years.

From the Midwinter festival to the Millenium party, we will explore how and why homes were decorated and winter events celebrated.

Find out where Boxing Day got its name from and why the Christmas tree first appeared in our homes.

As well as the Rooms Through Time we will be adding a rainbow of Christmas colour across the Museum site.
