Explore the rich and surprising history of Woodford in this special exhibition by Redbridge Museum. From the elegantHistory of Woodford exhibition poster homes of wealthy traders and travellers of the 18th century to the growth of modern suburbia, this display uncovers an area where the city meets the country.

Discover the work of local MP Sir Winston Churchill; the suffragette and political campaigner Sylvia Pankhurst; Woodford's links with empire, trade and slavery; and voices of ordinary people from the last 100 years. Through a range of objects, photographs, film and documents, visitors can view Woodford in a new light.
