Description

Artist Jony Easterby's new commission will transform nine buildings across the Nine Elms neighbourhood with large projected illustrations of the nine elm trees that give the area its name; created using illustrator Pippa Taylor's detailed, intricate drawings of the iconic trees which stand on Nine Elms Lane.

This specially commissioned visual spectacle will utilise residential blocks, construction sites and public plazas as the canvas for this ambitious, site specific after-dark artwork.

The Nine Elms place name has been traced back to the 17th Century and nine elm trees were known to be standing on Nine Elms Lane in the 1840s.

The illuminations begin at 5pm and run until 9pm.
