Description
Alexander Pope came to live in Twickenham in 1719. Our new exhibition celebrates this event.
With a wide selection of paintings and prints, early copies of Pope’s published works, and original decorative material from Pope’s grotto, the exhibition looks at Pope’s early life in Twickenham and the creation of his villa, garden and grotto.
