Explore a magical forest, travel across the sea in Max’s private boat and take part in a wild rumpus in our new family-friendly exhibition.

Where the Wild Things Are showcases Maurice Sendak’s original artwork and illustrations for the book loved by readers of all ages around the world.

The exhibition features 50 selected works by the late artist in an immersive and playful environment.

Highlights include an art project created by 16-year-old Sendak, original sketches for the ‘wild things’ from both the book and 2009 film, and watercolours for the set design of the Where the Wild Things Are opera
