Description
Discover the links between the British Library and Karl Marx and his daughter Eleanor, through original documents from their work in the British Museum Reading Room and their political activism in London.
From a first edition of the Communist Manifesto – one of only 25 copies that survive today – to the Reader Ticket that allowed Marx to research and write his most celebrated book, Das Kapital. Explore the foundations of Marx's ideology in the context of his time and the ways in which Eleanor followed in his footsteps.
