A Particular Passion For Poisoning

Description

A talk by Professor Robin Ferner, one of the UK's leading experts in Toxicology.

Poisoners who murdered and those who helped bring them to justice both had a passion for poisoning. The poisoners are buried elsewhere; famous toxicologists, notably Alfred Swaine Taylor and Henry Letheby, and counsel in famous trials, including Sir Fitzroy Kelly, lie in Highgate. Robin Ferner will talk about some famous poisoners from the 19th and 20th century and their route to the gallows.
