5x15 & English Heritage present an evening of storytelling celebrating London's blue plaques scheme & the figures they commemorate.

A familiar sight across the capital, these much-loved blue roundels highlight the links between people and place, commemorating notable figures from the past and the buildings in which they lived or worked.

Join them live at Conway Hall for an inspiring evening of stories about food and cookery, the science of meteorology and pioneering women, from a superb line-up of speakers including bestselling cook and food writer Meera Sodha, cloud-spotter Gavin Pretor-Pinney, beloved novelist and historical fiction writer Philippa Gregory, and foreign correspondent John Simpson.

Each of the evening's five speakers will choose a different blue plaque recipient to talk about, for fifteen minutes each.
