This autumn were screening Poly Styrene: I Am a Cliche, an award-winning documentary exploring the life and impact of musician Poly Styrene, the lead singer of X-Ray Spex.

Musician Poly Styrene used her rebellious voice to explore identity, consumerism and postmodernism in late 1970s Britain. This film mixes archival footage, interviews, and music to tell her extraordinary story.

We’ll be screening this film in our atmospheric Victorian chapel as part of our 1970s heritage programme at Oxford House.
