The peace treaties that officially ended the First World War were ratified in 1919.

Whilst the treaties are known for ending the conflict and restoring peace in Europe, they also feature some surprising clauses.

From the restitution of animals, archives, antiquities, and artworks to the long quest for the return of the skull of Sultan Mkwawa, this talk will explore the lesser-known clauses and stories hidden in the First World War Peace Treaties.
