London to Brighton vintage car rally

If you get up early enough, you can see a load of pre-1905 vintage cars leaving Hyde Park and heading towards Brighton.

The route spans 60 miles starting in London and travelling through Surrey and Sussex countryside and finishing on Brighton seafront.

Below is an approximate route time guide for those wishing to cheer on these adventurous motorists from the roadside.

7.00am-8.45am: Hyde Park, London

The route passes Buckingham Palace, up the Mall to Charing Cross, down Whithall to Westminster Bridge, then splits.

Route A: Via Vauxhall, Tooting and Mitchem

Route B: Via Brixton and Streatham Common

7.40am - 11.05am: Croydon, A236 – A235 – A23

7.55am - 11.35am: Redhill, A23

...and on to Brighton.
