Monthly open day at Dacres Wood Nature Reserve

Occasional open day at a railway cutting nature reserve in Forest Hill.

Dacres Wood Nature Reserve occupies 2.5 hectares and was formerly part of a large Victorian garden, including an important remnant of the Croydon Canal, closed in 1841. There is a diverse invertebrate fauna, including several species of particular note and a number of useful invertebrate habitats.

There will be no booking system, but please be mindful, if there are a lot of people on-site when you arrive, you may be asked to wait and therefore please bring a mask with you just in case (unless you are exempt).
