Photo-journal of the Exuma Islands in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas

Join us with Italian Photographer Alessandro Sarno at Stanfords talking about his stunningly beautiful photographic books.

With spectacular images, his latest book Exumas: The Kingdom of Blue allows us to experience magical glimpses into the full spectrum of life amidst rare and natural beauty. Gathered over many years of visits to the Exumas, The Kingdom of Blue seeks to depict the vast expanses and the hidden corners of a place whose infinite seascapes and multi- faceted landscapes are near to impossible to contain within the covers of a book.

Alessandro Sarno’s perspective of gratitude for the people he met along the way and the gifts of exploring Exumas' myriad heart-of-the-ocean magic are splashed all through the pages of his extraordinary coffee table books. Paired with stories, island poetry, and highlighting the protected Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, his latest book is a welcome oasis of great calming vitality awaiting a world grappling with great change.

Alessandro will be talking at Stanfords about all of his books and projects, with his books available to purchase on the evening.
