Join experts Audrey Collins and Myko Clelland in conversation as they bring the 1921 census to life.

Since 1801, there has been a census conducted in England and Wales every ten years – but what do you know about the census?

On 19 June 1921, millions people in England and Wales filled in the census - offering a glimpse into the lives of individuals recovering from war and a deadly influenza pandemic, and embarking on a new era where everyday rights and roles were changing.

With particular emphasis on the 1921 census, join experts Audrey Collins and Myko Clelland as they discuss its significance, what it reveals about life 100 years ago, and how to use it to get the most out of it for your research.

This In Conversation event will be followed by a live audience Q&A.

The 1921 census will be available on Findmypast in early January 2022. If you're interested in learning more about the history of the census, and help with your research, visit our dedicated census portal.
