Starting as an Ancient religious site, Bermondsey has transformed over the years from a stinking industrial area to one of the most desirable places to live in London.

Get off the beaten track in one of London's most surprising neighbourhoods and expect stories of 20th century rebels, eye-watering industrial jobs and pioneering social reformers.

See the unusual remnants of Bermondsey's fascinating past and experience a vibrant new community in London, ending with the foodie delight of Maltby Street Market.

The walk lasts just under 2 hours and starts from Bermondsey Station. As with all Look Up London tours, we'll be in search of little details often overlooked and stories of the Londoners who have left their mark on Bermondsey.

Groups are limited to 10 attendees, rising to 15 attendees on dates from 17 May.
