In the days before Health and Safety, many of the occupations undertaken by our ancestors were injurious to health. Some jobs are clearly dangerous, such as mining or fishing. But have you ever stopped to think about the risks in other occupations, such as lawyers, fishmongers or grocers?

If you descend from a long line of match girls, munitionettes, knife grinders, hatters or bakers (or several other trades), join Dr Janet Few to see how their health may have suffered as a consequence of the work that they did.
