Here, on the Prince Regent’s birthday, is another chance to catch a presentation about the opening in August 1820 of the completed Regent’s Canal. City of London Guide Lester Hillman has been involved for the last fifty years of its two-century life. He will explore the engineering, political and social forces as well as uncovering surprising links to comedy and City institutions including the Guildhall Art Collection.
