Guided walks of London's Victorian Jewish cemetery steeped in social history

This event has finished Took place on: Sunday, 14th Feb 2021

 Free

Our guided walks highlight some of the most interesting memorials and share stories of people buried here from all walks of life -- from forgotten artists to leading scientists.

A classic guided walk lasts for about 75 minutes, and we recommend you leave some time before or afterward to have a look inside our buildings. They often include new discoveries from the historical research the project has unearthed. Each guide has their own style and follows their own special interests, so every tour is unique.

SUNDAYS 11 and 2 and alternating Mondays and Wednesdays at 11.

When you visit you will also be able to explore the new House of Life visitor experience including the cemetery’s new Visitor Centre and its new exhibits.

All guided walks begin at the War Memorial, and happen whatever the weather. You can find accessibility and transport information about the site here.

Walks take place every other Monday and Wednesday at 11am, and on Sundays at 11am and 2pm. All guided walks will be run in a “COVID-secure way”.

Covid-19 Secure Measures

We are restricting groups to five people. Social distancing measures will be in place throughout, aided by having all guided walks take place completely outdoors. All attendees will be asked to check-in with Track and Trace, either using the NHS app or manually in the visitor centre.
