Lucy Worsley is joined by Ravenmaster Christopher Skaife and historic buildings curator Jane Spooner to explore the truth behind some of the Tower of London's most famous myths and legends.

Throughout its long history, the Tower has served as everything from a royal palace, to a prison, a place of execution and much more. The iconic fortress remains steeped in mystery and intrigue today. From the royal decree that ravens must remain at the Tower, to just how the ‘Beefeaters’ got their nickname, this one-hour talk will uncover the truth behind the legends of one of London’s most infamous buildings. Ravenmaster Chris Skaife will be sharing some of his favourite gory tales, while Jane will be offering up the origins of a few Tower myths – and revealing what the real truth is!

This event is free to join, but we ask you to consider making a donation of £10 or whatever you can afford.
