This January marks the 112th year since the Tottenham Outrage. To commemorate this, Abney Park Trust is hosting a virtual walking tour of the park presented by Alan Gartrell. This will be followed by a live Q&A session.
The tour will look into the context of the Outrage and reveal Abney Park's links to the event.
The Tottenham Outrage was a two-hour police chase through North London that occurred after a bank robbery. We'll be holding our talk two days before the anniversary of the event and a week before the anniversary of the funeral of the two victims of the Outrage: Police Constable William Tyler and Ralph Joscelyne, a young boy, who were both laid to rest in Abney Park.
