==================================================================

The Music Hall developed in the mid 19th century and by the First World War there were dozens of purpose built Music Halls across London. Many of them were designed by the incomparable Frank Matcham. But with competition from radio, the movies and finally television, Music Hall declined and by the late 1950s it was all but gone. However some of the buildings survive. Join Stephen to hear the story of Music Halls in London and along the way learn about some of the legendary performers who graced their stages.
