This talk looks at how both God & Mammon have moulded the Square Mile over 2000 years.

In the 1st Century AD the Romans bridged the River Thames and founded Londinium as a trading post. In the 7th Century a Roman mission was sent to London and St Paul’s was built on Ludgate Hill. Throughout its history the City has had two main themes – money and religion. This talk by City Guide & Lecturer Jill Finch looks at how both God & Mammon have moulded the Square Mile over 2000 years. Join us to learn more.

Please note: Further information for joining online via Zoom will be provided to participants 24 hours prior to the event, when bookings end.
