Taking place in the Cathedral nave we are delighted to welcome the self-appointed Night Mayor of Balham Arthur Smith back to Southwark Cathedral.
Arthur Smith is a Comedian, Presenter, Actor, Writer (and Night Mayor of Balham - self appointed), Arthur is one of the much admired originals of the great British alternative comedy scene who has a consistantly brilliant talent and ability to provide light entertainment whilst also still finding new and interesting ways to make people laugh. Arthur is a sought after artist by Comedy Clubs, Theatres, Festivals and Private Events and is regularly seen and heard on Television and Radio.

Joining Arthur will be...
Alexandra Haddow performed her last gig before lockdown supporting Frankie Boyle at the Soho Theatre. Her gigs since then have mostly been in front of unsuspecting people in parks. She hosts Dulwich Hamlet Comedy every month as well as nights at Vauxhall Comedy Club. She's also 1/3 of What's The Deal Comedy productions, and the School for Dumb Women podcast. She has won zero comedy awards, please be nice to her.
Jamie Allerton is a stand-up comedian. He has been So You Think You're Funny semi-finalist which has kick started the careers of dozens of the country's top comedians. In 2018 he was a finalist in the Max Turner Prize, an annual competition run by Comedy Virgins in Stockwell.
A fully licensed bar will be available to purchase refreshments during the evening. There will be an interval for those attending to grab a drink and stretch their legs.
Should this event need to be cancelled full refunds will be issued within 3-5 days.

A designated entrance, at the Churchyard gates on Bedale Street and designated exit through the Millennium Courtyard on Montague Close.
A one way route through the Cathedral that reinforces physical distancing guidelines.
The provision of hand sanitizer stations throughout the site.
Freely available toilet facilities to promote frequent handwashing.
Card and contactless only payment facilities.
Frequent cleaning and disinfecting of touchpoints including handles, rails, seating and toilet facilities.
Face coverings are mandatory inside the Cathedral unless exempted.
Seating will adhere to strict social distancing of at least 1m+ from each other.
What can I do to help?
Please visit us at another time if you or a member of your household or group are feeling unwell.
Wash your hands often using soap or water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitiser.
Wear a face covering.
Stay at least 1m+ away from others and follow the one way route around the Cathedral.
If you need to laugh, cough or sneeze, please do so into your elbow or face covering, not in your hand or the air.
