A guided walk along the River Roding, detouring into the tidal marshlands, to emerge into the strange world of the redeveloped Beckton Gas Works.
For this exploration of our Watery Commons, we will explore how landmarks, water sources and Thames-side activities have been subsumed into other recent narratives. Beckton Gas Works was a wonder of the world and we will explore what remains, what was there before the Works and finally what we can reimagine.
For this walk we are joined by urban explorer and walk leader John Churchill alongside other inspiral artists in order to re-create other narratives and foraging.
