What factors promote peace and what actions are justified to achieve it? Join us as we discuss the history, ethics, and politics of peace.

Peace is highly valued, but how is it achieved? Why are some periods in world history relatively peaceful compared to others? What can we, as ordinary citizens, do to promote peace? Is pacifism a justified response to war? What are we justified in doing to ensure peace?

Reem Abu-Hayyeh has worked in advocacy and campaigns particularly on social justice issues relating to the marginalisation of BAME and migrant communities in the UK and Europe. She is currently a peace activist at Medact.

Louise is an alumna of LSE.

Michael Neu is Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Applied Philosophy, Politics and Ethics, University of Brighton.
