To mark 75 years since the end of the Second World War, this immersive archives course revisits life on the home front during the conflict.

The experience of Londoners will be vividly reconstructed using photographs, pamphlets, diaries and ephemeral items (including ration books and recipe cards) from our special collections.

Who is this course for?

This course is for anyone with an interest in the Second World War.

How will the course be taught?

These exploratory archive courses are taught through the handling, examining and reading of curated sets of original historical materials from our library and special collections. There will be opportunities to share findings through informal, facilitated discussions. A short tutor presentation provides background and context.
