In January 1975, Lesley Whittle was abducted from her family home. With the odds stacked against them, the police and her family engaged in a deadly cat and mouse game with one desperate aim: to find the perpetrator and get her back alive.
Gordon Lowe is the author of The Black Panther; The Trials and Abductions of Donald Neilson. Join him for an evening talk and book signing to get under the skin of one of the most infamous serial killers in British history.
Neilson, known as the Black Panther for his tendency to dress in black and move quickly and silently, committed multiple murders and kidnappings over a 5 year period. Using recently released Home Office papers, Gordon delves into the psychology behind his actions to understand just what drove him to commit these wicked crimes.
Guests will have the opportunity to ask the author questions in a Q&A session following the talk and purchase a signed copy of his book.
The Postal Museum’s temporary exhibition The Great Train Robbery: Crime & the Post will be open before and after the event and access is included in the ticket price.
