Meet the Gibbonologists and find out everything you’ve ever wanted to know about the world from a gibbon’s point of view.
Join Professor of Biology Helen Chatterjee and PhD student Carolyn Thompson for an introduction to the behaviour, anatomy and sounds of this fascinating and endangered species. Dr Susan Cheyne, Chair of the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Gibbon group, will tell us stories of Gibbon folklore from around the world.
This event is part of International Gibbon Day, which aims to increase people’s awareness of gibbons and the threats they face today.
