Reading church history in early modern England: Three annotated copies of the Nuremberg Chronicle (1493) and their readers’.

This talk will explore how English readers in the 16th and 17th centuries interacted with books on church history. The talk will feature three annotated copies of the celebrated Nuremberg Chronicle, which previously belonged to various English readers, including Henry VIII, and are now in the collections of Lambeth Palace Library.
