Fortnum's And William & Son Present: The Art Of The Shoot

This event has finished Took place on: Thursday, 15th Aug 2019

Join Fortnum & Mason and William & Son for an evening of food, drinks and discussion in the intimate 3’6 Bar at Fortnum’s with William Asprey, founder of William & Son, in conversation with Jonathan Young, editor of The Field magazine. William and Jonathan will be discussing all things shooting – from what to take with you on your first shoot and the etiquette and history of the sport to what food best to keep you fuelled throughout the day.

William founded William & Son in 1999 as a leading provider of country attire, including breeks, field jackets and waistcoats crafted from the finest materials. Jonathan is similarly an expert on fishing and hunting, and has been editor of The Field – founded in 1853 with Charles Dickens among its first readers – since 1991. Enjoy a taste of the countryside with drinks and canapés to accompany, including Grouse Faggots with Celeriac Puree and Grouse Pie with Blackberry Chutney and Malt Gravy, alongside a Sloe Gin Negroni – a favourite shooting day tipple.

Cost: £20
